Limited slip differential sourcing for documented axle applications

Diffpoint Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner. We help importers, distributors and fleet buyers collect factory quotes for automotive differentials and related gear sets. Share axle type, gear ratio, spline count, housing dimensions, locking method, quantity and destination. We do not manufacture differentials, hold inventory or treat a shared product name as interchange.

What must the part match?

Identify the vehicle year/make/model, engine or chassis identifiers, installed axle position and OE reference used only for identification. A matching limited slip differential label or housing shape is not fitment confirmation.

Fitment information to supply

Vehicle and engine
Record model year, make, model and engine or transmission code, then name the present axle family. A year range without axle type and gear ratio leaves the limited slip differential selection unresolved.
Position and interface
Confirm front or rear axle, spline count, housing dimensions, ring-gear bolt pattern and locking method. New versus remanufactured supply must be named when both exist.
Quantity and packing
State pieces or complete assemblies and list whether carriers, gear sets, side bearings or spacers are expected inside the quoted scope. Packing unit and gross package weight belong with the supplier reply.
Destination and timing
Provide destination ZIP and a requested delivery window. Production, sample approval and transport dates come from the quotation, not from this page.

Before committing to an order

  1. Can a matching name prove fitment?

No. Ask for the vehicle application, OE reference used only for identification, axle type, gear ratio and interface drawings. Housing appearance alone is not enough.

  2. Is a quote required to inquire?

No. A target budget is optional. Quantity, packing unit and application define the request even when no competing offer exists.

  3. Can lead time be assumed?

No. Confirm sample approval timing, production window and transport separately in the supplier response. Observed search volume from 2026-06-01 is not a demand forecast.

  4. Does a supplier document certify our service?

No. Material grade statements, supplier declarations and warranty scope apply only to the stated supplier, product and application. They do not become Diffpoint Sourcing credentials.

How a sourcing request moves forward

Clarify

Resolve part reference, axle coverage, gear ratio, locking method and whether the buyer wants a complete differential assembly or a gear set only.

Request

Ask factories for a comparable quote scope: assembly contents, packing unit, sample terms, Incoterms and destination costs. Minimum order quantity is whatever the supplier states, not a site default.

Review

Compare unit cost, packing, freight, taxes and service fees on the same counting basis. Sample acceptance is not batch traceability for later lots.

Confirm

Record the accepted specification, exclusions, warranty scope and which party owns remaining interfaces such as side bearing spacers or planetary gear sets.
